Who is Zoe?
I am a soon to be graduate from the Virginia Commonwealth University Arts Program. I will be graduating with a major in Fashion Merchandising and minors in Spanish and Business.
Throughout my time at VCU I have been fortunate to have been introduced to a variety of avenues within the fashion world. Beginning my freshman year I became a volunteer at several local fashion shows. Through my work as a dresser and coordinator my junior year I was given the position of Lead Coordinator for the 2021 VCU Fashion Show.
During my four years of school I worked for two small boutiques and learned the in’s and out’s of owning a small business, including inventory, buying, styling and the importance of customer connection. This experience in styling gave me the opportunity to become a private stylist for one of Richmond’s most recognized board members and community leaders, Dr. Betty Neal Crutcher, where I arranged and aided in closet reorganization, consignment, and trip preparation.
The summer following my freshman year of college I studied abroad in Florence, Italy. I was part of a luxury study abroad trip where I took classes in trend forecasting and luxury fashion. I was able to meet bespoke tailors and learn about the art of leather working and the design process behind designers such as Prada, Salvador Ferragamo and Gucci. This trip introduced me to the detailed and beautiful process of crafting luxury products. Watching the designers hone their craft and learning about the artististry and precision that goes into each unique piece sparked my passion for the industry of luxury goods. I not only learned so much about the fashion industry during this trip but I discovered the importance of experiencing different cultures and my love for travel blossomed from this experience.
Outside Interests
I enjoy a variety of outdoor activities including rock climbing, running, and biking! This past year I even ran my first marathon! I think it is important to live a balance lifestyle of health, wellness and happiness. I have always had a passion for fashion, design and anything and everything creative. When I am not enjoying the outdoors I enjoy painting, drawing and putting together shoots!
